Easy No Bake Oat Chocolate Treat (Print Version)
Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter.

1/2 cup packed brown sugar.

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.

3 cups quick-cooking oats.

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips.

1/2 cup smooth peanut butter.
Instructions:

Grease a 9-inch square pan. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then blend in brown sugar and vanilla. Fold in the oats and stir for 2-3 minutes over low heat.

Transfer half of the oat mixture into the pan, pressing evenly to form a firm base.

In a separate saucepan, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Melt over low heat, stirring until smooth, and then pour over the oat base, smoothing out with a utensil.

Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top of the chocolate layer, pressing down lightly.

Cover the pan and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight. Before cutting into bars, allow the dessert to adjust to room temperature.
